Activities:
I'm currently
developing an integrated pest management system for ornamental pests
in southeastern Pennsylvania, and on the establishment of aesthetic
and economic thresholds for arthropod pests of woody ornamentals.
I've presented over 500 extension programs, invited guest lectures,
and workshops in Pennsylvania and surrounding northeastern states.
I serve as a member of the University Tree Commission at the University
Park campus. I'm developing a native elm bark beetle and smaller
European elm bark beetle integrated pest management program for
use in maintaining healthy stands of American elm in urban landscapes.
I provide diagnostic information for the management of arthropod
pests of ornamental plants, Christmas trees, forests, turfgrass,
greenhouse bedding plants, and fruit and nut trees.
