Department Focus Areas:

Ecological Applications

Research:

IPM, biology of fruit pests, pollination and apiculture

Teaching:

Advanced Integrated Pest Management

Extension:

Integrated pest management in fruit crops; technology transfer; expert systems.

Research Activities & Interests :

My research focuses on resistance management of agricultural pests, social and economic issues in integrated pest management, and bee management and pollination.

Extension Activities & Interests:

I help design and implement integrated pest management programs for all fruit crops except grapes. I also contribute to various publications, including production guides, newsletters, and fact sheets; present education programs for fruit growers; and develop expert system computer programs to aid in production decision making. Our extension programs are team efforts involving close cooperation among members of the entomology department and extension faculty and staff in other departments and in the counties.
