Degree Sought : Ph.D. in Entomology

I am a PhD candidate in entomology at Penn State University. My research interests include community ecology and biological conservation in agroecosystems. Currently, I am part of two projects: (1) an ecotoxicology project that is studying the effects of transgenic maize (and other corn pest management strategies) on epigeal coleopteran communities and (2) a field margin ecology study in which I am comparing ground beetle assemblages between agricultural fields and adjacent non-crop habitat. Additionally, I am participating in a risk mapping project of migratory lepidopteran pests in the eastern U.S. that combines the disciplines of aerobiology, information technology and pest management. In my free time, I enjoy playing piano and outdoor activities such as hiking and tennis.
