Currently, I am investigating the thermodynamic properties of a maggot mass within a deceased body and its infuence on the ambient temperature surrounding the body. The intent of this project is to better understand the microclimate around a decaying body to better estimate postmortem interval, the time between when a body died to when it was discovered, for crime scene investigation. |
