Faculty, staff and students
occasionally make time for more lighthearted get-togethers and activities.
Typically, a fall get-together (picnic, pig roast, hay ride, etc.) is
planned shortly after classes begin. 'Winter Fest' is held in January
featuring a 'Chili Cook-off' with interesting prizes awarded for various
categories. Spring and summer have found various activities planned such
as fishing/camping/canoeing trips, white water rafting, and picnics at
local parks.

Graduate students
also enjoy frequent get-togethers of their own
(cross-country skiing, biking, and just having fun together).
Several are married with young families and find a supportive network
amongst their fellow students.
